Dear Friend, It is with a very heavy heart that I must share the news that Andrew Kaluza, SFL’s former long-standing Texas executive board member, passed away last Saturday, July 12th in Texas in a tragic car accident at the age of 27. Andrew had been involved with SFL and became an integral part of the broader liberty movement starting in 2009. He had a deep love and commitment particularly to the student movement for liberty. During his time as an activist, he organized countless student groups, directed conferences, and hosted some of the most legendary activism events. To Andrew, liberty was no mere stodgy intellectual exercise, but a way of life, one of kindness, respect, and fellowship. t this time, there are memorial services planned for Andrew in Texas and Washington, DC. Andrew’s family will host a memorial service on Saturday, July 26th, and Students For Liberty will host a celebration of Andrew’s life this Thursday, July 17th.
