In Matthew the Word tells us that after Christ feed the multitude - TopicsExpress

In Matthew the Word tells us that after Christ feed the multitude he told his disciples to get into to the boat and go ahead of him. When they had he went onto the mount to pray. Then when the evening had come he was there alone on the shore. When he looked out on the water the boat with the disciples was being tossed to and fro by the wind and waves. So in the fourth watch of the night (which is just before the dawn) Christ went walking on the sea to them. The disciples looked up and seen him coming and became afraid because they thought they were seeing a spirit. Right away he spoke to them and comforted them and said. “Be of good cheer it is I be not afraid”. Then Peter one of the 12 replied Lord if it is you allow me to come to you and Jesus said come. So Peter climbed out and started toward him and was ok as long as he was keeping his eye upon the Lord. But for a split second he took his eyes off of the Lord and started looking around at the storm around he started to sink. When this happened Peter cried out Lord save me he stretched out his hand lifted him up. You know that is a lot like life for us we many times take our eyes of the Lord and stray and begin to focus on the storm of life and we begin to sink. The Question we must ask ourselves here is, are we caught up in the life storm, are we beginning to sink? Or are we lost in that storm? If so the answer to both of these questions is Jesus. So today do as Peter did right now cry Lord save me!
