In May 2012 the 10th Congress of the International Society for the Study of Fatty Acids & Lipids (ISSFAL) was held in Vancouver. Renate de Groot, researcher at CELSTEC, gave a lecture called "Eating the right amount of fish: Inverted U-shaped association between fish consumption and cognitive performance and academic achievement in Dutch adolescents." She suggested that the relationship between fish consumption and cognitive performance and academic achievement in adolescents was associated with a better vocabulary and higher final grades.
