In Memory of Annette Burchfield Herndon Hall Obituary for Annette Hall Annette Burchfield Herndon Hall age 74 of Rome, GA passed away Wednesday, May 28th after battling cancer for 27 years. She was born March 3, 1940. A lifelong resident of Rome, she was preceded in death by her husband, Lester M. Hall, her parents, Marvin C. Burchfield and Margie Scoggins Burchfield. She was also preceded in death by the father of her children Jerry J. Herndon. She is survived by four sons Scott Herndon (Wendi) of Rome, Steve Herndon (Tammy) of Dalton, Mark Hall (Tina) of Athens, and Ron Hall (fiance Julie Lively) of Rome. Her grandchildren include Ash Herndon, Logan Herndon, Chase Herndon, Mitchell Herndon, Mary Margaret Herndon, Ellis Elizabeth Herndon, Brennon Conley, Jeremy Hall (Kristin) and Chase Hall (Emma). She is also survived by two sisters, Wilma Burchfield Givens of Rome and Judy Burchfield Jenkins of Carrollton, Ga. Several nieces and nephews also survive. Mrs. Hall was a 1958 graduate of Rome High School. She received her Radiologic Technology degree at Floyd Hospital under the training of Dr. Lucius Smith. She worked at Floyd Hospital for 16 years before taking the position of Chief Radiologist at North West Regional Hospital for 27 years. Annette was a former member of West Rome Baptist Church for over 60 years. She was currently a member of Fellowship Baptist Church for the past five years. She was active in the Rex Lynn Sunday School Class, Joymakers and Sound of Praise Choir. She was also active with the GA Power Ambassadors. After retirement she enjoyed traveling but her favorite activity was spending time with her grandchildren and family. Annette loved the Lord, as shown through her daily walk of faith. The family will receive friends on Friday evening for 5-8 pm at Fellowship Baptist Church, 314 Burnett Ferry Road, Rome. The celebration service will be held Saturday at 1pm. at Fellowship Baptist Church. Dr. Dale Levan will be officiating with her nephew, Jim Givens delivering the eulogy. Private interment will follow later at Oaknoll Memorial Gardens. Pallbearers are her grandsons, Chase Herndon, Ash Herndon, Mitchell Herndon, along with nephews Slade Jenkins, Joel Holcombe, and Burch Givens. Special friends include: Myra Thacker Mason, Wyleen Pierce Gillespie, Carolyn Wilson Ambrose, Linda Phillips McKenzie, Sonia Fain Locklear, Linda Bishop Little, Shirley Bell Allred, Joyce Greene Manning, and Peggy Brown Whitting. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial contributions be made to Fellowship Baptist Church building fund, 314 Burnett Ferry Road, Rome, GA 30164. Henderson & Sons Funeral Home, South Chapel, has the arrangements.
