In Memory of Ruby November 1, 2014 One month ago we lost a great friend, Ruby Moon Houldson. Working with Ruby since 2008 at the Carnegie Heritage Art Center was a great experience. So talented, intelligent , and complex of a lady that I have ever seen. We both became so interested in Linton History. We felt that our Citizens of Linton needed to keep our past alive. We had history talks, Facebook , Remember When page, and You Tube. About three months ago, Ruby started compiling enough information for a book that contains over 500 pages of information about Linton. The book is at the Local public Library, and The Carnegie. We talked about having it published, but it would cost too much . I ask Ruby if she could put the info in pdf format . In two days she brought it to me. She had to work all day and night to do this. After looking at the cd , there was enough room to add 440 pictures of old Linton. After her untimely death, I felt her last piece of work had to be shared with all of you. I will continue to work on Linton history. I have tons of items I want to share. In turn, I hope all of you will share your stories . I will be selling Remember When CD’s at the Park Board Chili Supper , This Weekend from 4 to 8 at the Roy Clark Building. The admission is free and the supper has been advertised. The CD’s will cost $10. ALL PROCEEDS WILL GO TO CARNEGIE HISTORY PROJECTS AND A SCHOLAR SHIP FUND, IN RUBY’S NAME THROUGH THE CARNEGIE HERITAGE ART CENTER! FOR MORE INFORMATION CONTACT FRED MARKLE AT MARKLE MUSIC. Thank you. Fred Markle
