In Mettupathy, Omalur, Salem - which has 150 Dalit families and 100 families from other castes - there are two anganwadis - one which functions within the premises of the government school with pucca building where the kids of the other castes go and another separate kuchcha building on a private land away from the school - where the Dalit kids go. It also goes to demonstrate how the caste mindset works, regardless of the numerical superiority of the Dalit communities they will still be discriminated against. And untouchability does not exist in India!
