In My Life Christ shows up in my life in so many different and remarkable ways. Actually, He is My Only Constant, walking every step of the way with me on this earthly journey. His face shined brightly with heavenly radiance as I looked into the eyes of others in the days after August 8th. They showed up in amazing ways to comfort my husband and our family during a time of great loss. Death. It wakes you, and it bitterly shakes you. Life as we have known it will never be the same. A new normal must be carefully shaped and defined. She was his Mom. The one God chose to nurture, care, and protect him. Motherhood became her major identity. She took her assignment seriously, and the little boy turned man loved her. Proverbs 31: 10, 25-28 “Who can find a virtuous woman? She is far more precious than jewels... Strength and honor are her clothing, and she can laugh at the time to come. She opens her mouth with wisdom, and loving instruction is on her tongue. She watches over the activities of her household and is never idle. Her sons rise up and call her blessed.” Karen Appling
