In Normandy, I found this rare Aero Indian. With the factory - TopicsExpress

In Normandy, I found this rare Aero Indian. With the factory almost defunct in 1948, they tried to save their factory with the latest fad, a motorcycle with a Jet engine. It was so powerful, it needed no wheels and could fly at low altitude. There were only a few built as demo machines for shows and trade fairs. But their Dealership was not impressed, due to lack of wheels and lack of experience with Jet propulsion. I saw the enigmatic machine out there in a dusty box on a big military surplus fair and recognized the uniqueness of the odd-ball and purchased her instantly for 5 K. Once back at home, we got it resprayed and the engine running alright but no way that we could manage to fly this scoot. My friends who had come over from miles around for making a stunning YouTube film were in the end all disappointed and joked that I had bought a total industrial failure, that brought Indian to the brink of disaster. If anybody can tell me how to fly this vintage machine, I would welcome that and offer you a flight as first pilot since 1950 or so. And if not successful, and still in 1 piece, you can make me a bid, but not lower than 5K Euro, please or I must present her to a Museum maybe?
