In November 2009, Nidal Hasan walked onto a military base in Texas, shouted “Allahu Akbar,” and opened fire on unarmed American soldiers. They fought back any way they could, shielding fellow soldiers with their bodies, throwing chairs, charging Hasan – desperate to do anything to stop his rampage. When it was all over, 13 Americans lay dead, with 32 more injured. When the Army investigated, it discovered that Hasan communicated with a top al Qaeda leader in Yemen, a man we later killed with a drone strike. Hasan himself has confessed at his trial that he was a "Mujahideen," a jihad warrior for Islam. Yet the Pentagon refuses to grant our fallen heroes the purple hearts they earned with their own blood. For political reasons, the Obama Administration says the attack was "workplace violence," not terrorism. People we need to wake up and hold the White accountable for calling the truth out and answering to terrorism for what it is-- terrorism!
