In October, RO-NO Ranch will be hosting a Certification Clinic with the Certified Horsemanship Association. The CHA is a not-for-profit membership-based organization that certifies riding instructors, trail guides, instructors of riders with disabilities, equine facility managers, drivers, driving instructors and recreational vaulting coaches. Additionally, CHA accredits riding facilities and provides resources to programs and instructors in the form of published industry standards for group riding programs, student horsemanship and instructor manuals, complete student curriculums and other educational resources. The purpose of the CHA is to promote excellence in safety and education, for the benefit of the entire horse industry. Our Certification Clinic will be held here at RO-NO from Oct. 20-24th. Cost will be $675.00 We will host a Standard All-Discipline Instructor Certification Clinic This will be a 5 day, 40 hour clinic that offers certification for English and Western instructors at all four horsemanship levels from beginning to advanced horsemanship, plus assistant instructor. Participants may receive certification in both Western and English ( jumping or flat work ) at all four levels, in the same clinic. The Standard clinic also addresses short trail rides. Participants take a written test, have a riding evaluation, attend required workshops and teach at least four practice lessons. There will be a maximum of 8 participants. We will use some non-gaited horses, and some Paso Finos for the clinic participants.
