In October of 2009 I saw Lisa speak at the Harrison Medical Center womens luncheon. I was so inspired by her and decided to sign up with the TriBabes the following season. I couldnt swim, was terrified of the lake, hadnt been on a bike since high school and couldnt run a minute without feeling like puking. I remember how much I admired all the Vets and how much I wanted to be like them. Ive been a couch potato all my life and thought I just could never be one of them, that just wasnt me, but I so wanted it to be. Fast forward 5 years, countless hours of training, crying, laughing, happiness, frustration, new friends, excitement and conquering fears Im heading to Arizona tomorrow to hopefully comPLETE my first Ironman on Sunday. I still cant believe Im here. It truly is incredible what can happen when you allow yourself to dream big and believe. Life will throw you curve balls but never give up, never quit. Thank you TriBabes! I will forever be grateful!
