In October of last year, I posted a short note entitled The Last Road Trip for Amos and Me which outlined a tentative itinerary for what became our most epic road trip, a 26-day excursion across 15 states, during which Amos, Pepper, and I visited many family and friends. At the time, Old Mo was 16 and I didnt dare hope he live much longer, and Pepper was to be my new road buddy. With that plan derailed and Pepper gone, I am amazed and happy that Amos lives, and as fall approaches, I again turn my eye(s) toward the map above my desk. The time-off has been approved and I soon will once again hit the open road for yet another jaunt down the highways and byways with the old boy by my side. The plan (and we know what Ike said about those) at this point is to load up the CRX and flee Idaho around the 19th of September, returning home around the 8th of October. Well not be as long on the road this time, just 20 days, but thats time enough for some relaxation and sight-seeing. All ideas welcome.
