In Paul’s instructions to Timothy, we see here a warning about financial gain. The previous 9 verses describe that some people had been preaching that faith in Christ is a road to financial gain. The instruction is for Timothy to “flee from all this” and pursue all the things in verse 11. We should do the same. We are to seek Christ and have faith in Him whether financial blessing comes to us or not. Do not lose your faith or grieve the absence of financial wealth. Trust in God, who has your life in His hands and is able to provide all that you need. Seek first His kingdom. (Matthew 6)
