In Proverbs we hear of kings and husbands, women and wives. These are all pointing to higher spiritual forces contained within the self. The women for example, is the undetermined desire. The simple desire. The desire to eat a burger. The desire to get drunk. The wife, however, is a desire to please the whole. It is still desire but it is desire turned from the infilling of the self toward the infilling of others. When desire is focused it consciously creates. This is why Adam first called his Eve women. The energy of that desire was unfocused. It was only determined to fill the self. Once Adam saw the desire (womens) full potential, he then named her and called her Eve. She moved from a simple desire of women to the complex, focused desire...wife.
