In Revelation 4 we read of twenty four great beings worshipping before the throne in heaven. The reason for their worship is in verse 11. “Thou are worthy, O Lord, to receive glory and honor and power; for thou hast created all things and for they pleasure they are and were created”. However in chapter 5 there is a new view. Not only the 24 great angelic intelligences but “ten thousand times ten thousand and thousands of thousands” worshiped and their theme was not creation. They sang “Worthy is the Lamb that was slain”. That is the truth about everything. He made all things and redeemed all things. We only know God as He makes Himself known to us. He is infinite. We don’t know everything about God - only what He shows us of Himself. There are other views of God we shall never see. But this view is enough to occupy us forever. When we come together and sing and praise, if we want to join the hosts of heaven, that is their theme - the Lamb of God, not creation but the core of creation, the Lamb as it had been slain. That is Christian worship. Cross-less, blood-less worship is not Christian. God bless you. REINHARD BONNKE
