In Ridley Scotts Exodus, it really is a mess that all of the Egyptian, middle Eastern and African characters are being played by white actors. But unless these same people pitching a hissy fit about it are regularly making an active effort to support films which feature Egyptian, middle eastern, and African actors, theyre just acting like crybabies. No studio under the sun is going to put hundreds of millions of dollars into a film starring a cast that doesnt promise a return on the investment. How about instead of complaining about Angelina Jolie as Cleopatra, or Christian Bale as Moses, you start supporting actors of color regularly? They can do more as actors than play terrorists and serve shit pies to antagonists.
