In Smithville the soft ground is fast disappearing. Also - TopicsExpress

In Smithville the soft ground is fast disappearing. Also disappearing really fast is 2014; just less than three days left. In the little book there is a column for the credits, the money taken in, and then theres the column for the debits, the money paid out. The third column is the balance; the net; whats left over. The net is always a lot less than the total of the credits or the total of the debits. In real life (forget the money) in 2014 there have been a lot of pluses, several minuses, but a whole bunch of positive outcomes. At the end of the day I try to always thank God for the blessings of the day; for seeing me through the day; after all He doesnt sleep and He can hear me anytime I pray; night or day. The thing I fail to do so much of the time is to thank other people in my life for all they have done for me. I know that many of us never talk to each other; seldom see each other. Many of you read my posts and I read about the things in your lives. So, before this year comes to an end I want each of you to know that I appreciate you and I want you to know that in some way you have had a bearing on my life. Ive had a lot of people ask me about how I come up with what I post each morning; well, there have been a few mornings that I would have to say it was difficult, but for the most part, I have to say that I have been the one who has benefited most from my postings. By posting each morning (right around 1400 straight) I have had to be in the scriptures, singing a lot of great old hymns, and being very much aware of the presence of God in my life and my surroundings. Some of you are drinking coffee while reading this. Some of you are alone while others are sharing it as a couple. Reading my posts have become a habit for some of you while others probably just scan over it once in a while. Sometimes no doubt, my post has touched a nerve and sometimes it may have inspired you. Im aware that some have scanned back over several days postings to catch up. Im hoping that the postings have increased your awareness of God in your life and your surroundings and His faithfulness to each of us every day. So, you see, in my book the net is huge considering that each of you counts as a credit in my life. The debits are few. Let us then be true and faithful, trusting, serving every day; just one glimpse of Him in glory will the toils of life repay. When we all get to heaven, what a day of rejoicing that will be! when we all see Jesus, well sing and shout the victory. I want to thank each one of you for being a friend in my 2014 journey.
