In South Africa the right to vote came at a highest price, lots of heroes laid down their lives so we can exercise this right. As a result, voting has become a daily activity, an entertainment, a money spinner, it has become everything. We vote for idols, we vote for sport personality, we vote for Big Brother, for ingoma eyohlukanisunyaka, 4 X-factor, Imost awards, we even hv programs where we vote people out like survivor. On most of these occasions those who should be voted go out and plead for votes. They use social media (rightfully so) to urge for more votes. Very soon we will vote for voting. My humble plea to those in MDM structures is that we treat our processes differently. There is absolutely no need to take to the street and social network a campaign to vilify those you disagree with. U may be a strong believer of a perspective but dont try too hard and mechanical to force it onto others. There is no single leader in any organisation who is a solution to all challenges outside the entire collection. We are fallible mortals, easily replaceable. Organisations will not collapse if we are not elected! I rise with a message of peace and unity which I believe in (elected or not)!
