In Soviet Union there was no happiness for the neighbor. When your neighbor had a nice house it was assumed that it was done illegally because getting something through sheer will and effort did not exist. In United States, with the assault on unions and teachers, it seems that the same occurred in United States, except not through Communism but through irresponsible capitalism which only rewards those few at the top and none to little to none for all the rest involved in production of capital. Companies and employees no longer work to create a product together, but to create profits for shareholders, achieving higher productivity rates but receiving less and less compensation for their labor and time.. Thus, Americans like Soviets, instead of being happy for the few scraps some still get through Unions and working to lift society for all to get those benefits, instead attempt to pull down those few with a living wage and benefits until they are part of the greater whole and barely eek out a living with no hope for security or success. Im sure Jesus would be proud.... Happy Easter :)
