In Spring 2012 the first slogan put out the by RSCC was to Stop Educational Genocide, pointing out the school to prison pipeline, but also the fact that 13% of Blacks and Latinos in the NYC Public School system are college ready. But most important was that we need to change the content of education that as Carter G Wood son epitomized in his title, The Mis-education of the Negro we are being educated by the ideology of the colonizer. We view the Education system as part of the Ideological State Apparatuses which reproduce the conditions for the furthering of exploitation. But Educational Genocide is not a slogan, it a a reality that stems back from the beginning of Euro-Imperialism over the worlds people. We end educational genocide by taking command of the institution and fighting not only for access and serving our communities but changing what it means to do so. that we are not looking to educate our people to go out into the job market but to have the skills to survive and overthrow the class enemy which set out to destroy our culture and history.
