White House Now Scrutinizing Israeli Requests For Ammunition TELL THE WHITE HOUSE, THE STATE DEPARTMENT, AND YOUR CONGRESSIONAL REPRESENTATIVES: DON`T ENDANGER ISRAEL Write or phone the White House to encourage the administration to restore established military assistance procedures for Israel and to immediately and positively respond to Israel`s requests for military assistance. There were reports on August 14 that the White House and the State Department will now obstruct routine arms transfers to Israel despite Hamas` current war against the Jewish state. For decades, Israel`s requests for military munitions prepositioned in U.S. storage in Israel had been routinely handled through military channels. They did not require White House or State Department approval. That may no longer be the case according to these reports. Requests will be delayed and potentially refused as the White House and the State Department review each one. A shipment of Hellfire missiles to Israel was canceled because of the new directive. If true, this drastic policy change is occurring even as Hamas continues to threaten Israel in words and deeds and despite Israel`s pressing need to replenish its dwindling stockpile of munitions and other weaponry. Tell the White House, the State Department, and your Congressional representatives to immediately change this counterproductive, dangerous policy. Israel is going above and beyond the established rules of war to protect Gaza`s civilians, while Hamas systematically and cruelly violates those rules.
