In a CONVERSATION when your name is mentioned once or twice it feels GOOD...That someone acknowledges you.. But... If your name is said three or four times in a SENTENCE.. It feels IRRITATING.. I dont know if they like my name so much that they keep on repeating it from the beginning... Middle and twice before a sentence ends.. Ya kler... Ya kler... It makes think somehow that this person thinks i dont know what she is telling me.. And instead of just saying what she wants.. She will say my name over and over like she is not convince of my explanation.. And you get the feeling that your being blamed for something that you cant do anything about... Sleep lab room with my sleep lab patient... Old lady patient: ya kler.. Im. Doctor before kler and im retired.. Ya kler.. They should open the bathroom for me ya kler.. I need to go now... Kler tell them... Ya kler.. I did this test before 2 years ago and i remember that there is a bathroom here.. Ya kler. Claire: mam.. Im here working 7 years and we never had a bathroom here in the 8th floor.. Inside sleep lab.. Its outside in the ward.. The only bathroom is the nurses room and its not allowed to use this is closed also. Old lady patient: ya kler.. No im sure there is bathroom here i did this before ya kler and i remember very i went to the bathroom in the night ya kler..what is this ya kler.. Claire: mam why will i lie to u.. If there is something available.. You are a patient and we are obligated to give u the comfort u need but like i said they did not change this ward for the 7 years im here.. Old lady patient: ya kler.. What is this.. I dont believe you.. Ya kler.. This is not good.. Kler.. She stops and then started talking again.. Old lady patient: ya kler.. I remember now kler.. It was in the 5 th floor not 8the floor that there is a bath room.. Kler.. I know now.. But i need to go to the bathroom kler.. Call the nurse.. Ya kler If your having this kind of conversation and it goes for an hour with the same thing.. You get exhausted and frustrated not because of work.. But because some people believe that they are RIGHT and you are wrong.. Simply because the servant that she brought with her is the same nationality as i am... FILIPINO... Then she asked me what is my credentials.. Suddenly she became subtle.. She didnt know a FILIPINO can achieve so much not just the stereotype... Ya.. Kler.. Ya kler.. Ya kler... Now i feel that my name is so dragged and over used.. Pleasant morning
