In a certain town there was a judge who neither feared God nor cared what people thought. And there was a widow in that town who kept coming to him with the plea, ‘Grant me justice against my adversary.’ For some time he refused. But finally he said to himself, ‘Even though I don’t fear God or care what people think, yet because this widow keeps bothering me, I will see that she gets justice, so that she won’t eventually come and attack me!’” And the Lord said, “Listen to what the unjust judge says. And will not God bring about justice for his chosen ones, who cry out to him day and night? Will he keep putting them off? (Luke 18:2-7) Gods people are praying people & here we learn about being relentless in prayer for spiritual mercies. The widows dogged determination worked even with the unjust judge, even though she should have been afraid that he could turn against her & make life even worse for her. Our earnest prayer is pleasing to God. Some people say that once youve asked The LORD for something that our faith is weak if we ask for it again, or that its just not His will to give us what we are desperately seeking. But Jesus tells us that we are to continue to pray until we receive the answer. Continuing in the same prayer for deliverance is not showing a lack of faith, but of persistent faith & God is pleased by this type of tenacity. Then Jesus told his disciples a parable to show them that they should always pray and not give up. Luke 18:1 ~ Goodnite fb ❤️
