In a few weeks time I will be deciding where I will be standing for the District Council elections in May 2015. Fortunately the boundary commission has agreed to split all the wards up so instead of voting for two or three councillors for your area, you will now only have one vote, which will make it much better, and it will give you the power to make sure your local Councillor really does put you first. The area I currently represent on the District Council is the Greenhill Ward which is being split into three. Greenhill, Broom Leys and Castle, which are the names of the new seats. I can only stand for one so you can imagine after representing the area for over 10 years I am finding it quite upsetting that I now have to choose. Whichever seat I choose to stand for, and if Im lucky enough to win the confidence of the local people once more, I will always be there to help those who need it. My heart and soul as always been to help others, thats why I stand so I can help to improve where we live, take on the establishment when they are wrong, and most of all speak up for those who dare not speak. Many say its a waste of time and makes no difference, but I totally disagree, and hopefully I have shown that even one man, one voice and dare a say one pain in the arse to those who stand in his way can make a real difference.
