In a grey cloth bin, the facsimile of the robot known as R2-D2 - TopicsExpress

In a grey cloth bin, the facsimile of the robot known as R2-D2 turns his gaze askance, glaring at the wall. This new temporary lodging is not to his liking. It seems most of my belongings are cross with me. On the dining room table, the old television stares mournfully at its successor. Like the last puppy in a box of bastard dogs, it must wonder at its fate. Oh, someone -claimed- they would be by to purchase it, but we all know how such dealings typically end. So little is traveling with us, but I dont question the choice to sell or discard. The first weeks will be inconvenient, but so would hauling broken and undesired heaps of metal and wood up three flights of stairs. I can be cruel when it comes to things. Once fallen from favor, the issue for quick dispatch is never wasted. The art, though, the art I cling to. I am modern in my attitude toward possessions. I dont repair anything less than a car. I change my bed linens every few months. I read these comments by people recommending you buy heritage furniture, but for a woman whose only children are feline, I think the matter of hand-me-downs is null. I pump the majority of our long-term cash into electronics and vehicles. Those are our primary investments. I used to be scared of the notion until I realized that we spend a lot of time gaming and driving. Why not do both in luxury? My next car, by the way, will be a Hyundai Genesis. Fis car. A car Im convinced the engineers created for women in my age bracket, of my income, with my no-kids lifestyle. Have you seen these beautiful machines? Next year, I tell myself. Next year, I think itll happen.
