In a matter of days we went from bare ground to winter wonderland. Now that it has stopped snowing the forecast is predicting a 20* drop in temperature in 24 hrs and then dropping to almost -30 by Saturday. Today I spent the morning adding more fresh bedding for the chickens, mixing chicken feed, set up the heater for the rabbits and moved the outside doe in for the foreseeable future, filled the pig hut with more straw and topped up their feed and moved some panels out of the way so the cows, if they want, have shelter under the barn. We also spent another 1 or more hours out plowing the snow. Its getting to much for my quad so I will likely put the bucket on and start pushing the snow banks back with the tractor and keep access into pen where I need it. For now the animals seem content and we will have to just wait and see what else is coming. Stay warm and safe out there!
