In a meeting with representatives of Palestinian groups in Iran on Wednesday, Seyyed Hassan Qazizadeh Hashemi said the country’s Health Ministry is fully prepared to provide emergency equipment and medical supplies for the Gazans wounded in Israel’s fatal assaults. Referring to the Islamic Republic’s experience with emergency medical services during the eight-year Iraqi imposed war on Iran in the 80s, the minister also noted that the Iranian hospitals will receive those Palestinians who need medical care and complex surgeries. “It is one of our religious and humanitarian duties to not leave unanswered the request for help by the Muslim people of other countries and...rush to the aid of our brothers and sisters as well as the defenseless women and children,” he added. For his part, Naser Abu Sharif, the representative of the Palestinian Islamic Jihad Movement in Iran, emphasized that that most of the Israeli regime’s airstrikes have targeted educational institutions and schools, with women and children comprising more than half of the victims. Hospitals in Gaza are in desperate need of help including medicines and equipment. Since July 8, Israeli warplanes have struck more than 1,300 targets across Gaza, which is home to around 1.8 million Palestinians. The strikes have so far claimed the lives of 208 with more than 1,500 others injured. Despite international calls for an end to Israel’s bombardment of Gaza, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said recently that the Tel Aviv regime was hitting Gaza “with growing force” and that there was no end in sight. Only Iran and Lebanon come to help Palestine till to date, where was the other Muslim country???
