In a memorandum dated September 9, the Pamantasan ng Lungsod ng Maynila-Board of Regents (PLM-BOR) imposed a three (3) months preventive suspension of Atty. Artemio G. Tuquero “to ensure that the Office of the President will not be used harass, intimidate and influence witnesses” concerning his on-going case. The said order also banned Tuquero, Atty. Carlos M. Carlos, University Legal Counsel; and Mr. Roberto Rosales, Vice-President for External Affairs, from entering the university premises. For the implementation of the order, Ms. Fe Cawit is also relieved as Chief of the University Security Group (USG), designating Mr. Hanifredo B. Balquin as the officer-in-charge. Yesterday, Engr. Marita S.D. Barrientos, Vice-President for Administration was also suspended to perform her duties.
