In a mild surprise, Thad Cochran apparently won the GOP nomination to continue serving as a Republican senator from MS. Apparently the bestiality vote turned out heavily for Cochran after his comments regarding his past experiences with farm animals. Meanwhile, Chris McDaniel, the dastardly Tea Party candidate, went down to defeat. He just couldnt get the anti-animal-abuse crowd to turn out in sufficient numbers to offset Thads furry friends. Say what you will about the Tea Party, they just arent traditional enough to swing a major senate nomination vote.
