In a pinch, I have made these hand made bags. I do a few extra steps that I think makes a more finished look. First I find a piece of light weight cardboard from a empty cereal box or any thing getting ready to be trash. From that card board I cut two strips to use as support to hold my ribbon handles (tucked under the top fold) and one piece to put in bottom of the bag for more support. I wrap that piece of cardboard to match or if I am short of paper use a contrasting paper. I have even cut strips of the wrapping paper and made a fluffy bow. It really works in a pinch.
