In a report released by prestigious football magazine, France Football, Messi was named the top earner for footballers, while former Real Madrid and current Chelsea boss, Jose Mourinho was named the top-earning manager, raking in a total of €17 million per year, just beating out Bayern Munich boss, Pep Guardiola who makes €15 million per year. The top eleven features a who’s who of the footballing world, the top three of which all ply their trade in Spain: 1. Leo Messi (Barcelona) – €41m 2. Cristiano Ronaldo (Real Madrid) – €39.5m 3. Neymar (Barcelona) – €29m 4. Wayne Rooney (Manchester United) – €24m 5. Zlatan Ibrahimovic (Paris Saint Germain) – €23.5m 6. Radamel Falcao (AS Monaco) - €21.2m 7. Sergio Aguero (Manchester City) - €19.7m 8. Thiago Silva (Paris Saint Germain) – €17m 9. Eden Hazard (Chelsea) – €16.8m 10. Franck Ribery (Bayern Munich) – €16.5m 11.
