In a serious conversation with the Lord, I was expressing my confusion with why suddenly, God was sending me a lot of musicians, singers, psalmists and lyricists to pour into, father and mentor. I am not really a musical person to the extent that I would have considered myself a suitable cultivator of musical genius in somebody else. Then I was reminded, It took the anointing and mandate of Samuel, to become the womb by which David, the renaissance worshipping -prophet -warrior- king, was to be mentored. David reformed worship and its institution and brought major upgrade to how it was done. He achieved this through the lofty communications and revelatory dimensions of his prophetic mantle. It took Samuel, the prophet, priest and judge, to shape David for such a monumental task. Samuel was not musical but he was a priest and the first of the major iconic prophetic figures of the Bible. He was the only person qualified to build David and reinforce Him, so that he wouldnt use his musical abilities against God or His house. Samuel poured oil on David. God seems to have me doing a lot of that in this season. I get it now!!! This is why our house has come under a musical mandate, because the song is apart of Gods war arsenal and Davids are arising.
