In a spin blog with vellios We were up really early on Thursday - TopicsExpress

In a spin blog with vellios We were up really early on Thursday for the morning gym session, where we tried out spinning with a professional teacher. The music was pretty good and really helped me to keep motivated. The gym staff were great too and really helpful to us. I think they’re pleased to have us here. After that it was breakfast and just one hour to chill before the next training session, which was out on the pitch again. Thankfully we then got three hours to relax, so I slept for two of those before catching up with my friends and family on Skype. For our evening session we headed back to the pitch and a decent number of fans had turned out to watch us. There were some Austrian Evertonians too – we always seem to see Evertonians everywhere we go! It’s nice to have a crowd, even when it’s just for training. It’s good to have people around and we appreciate it. Again, it gives you that lift that you need sometimes. Each session is definitely getting progressively tougher. That’s pretty normal for the first week of pre-season. It will be worth it come Sunday though. I can’t wait for the game. It’s our first chance to properly see where we’re at in terms of our fitness and I’m really hoping to get some time out on the pitch. I know about Arouna Kone, he’s a great player and scored many goals last season. I also saw Gerard Deulofeu because I watched him play some games for Spain Under-20s. We’ve got Joel and Antolin Alcaraz here with us in Austria too and they seem like great characters. I’m sure these new players will help us move forward. Obviously two of them being strikers has given me an added incentive this week. But I think this is true of all the players and also I would always have given 100 per cent to impress the manager anyway. Oh, I also won £6million yesterday. A fake £6million. I won the Melbourne Cup on Virtua Tennis. Delighted with that! (St)
