In a strange twist of fate at the Executive Council today, the Attorney General disqualified Hon. Evan Gumbs from voting in the Dolphin Discovery for supporting the keeping of the same on Anguilla. Ironically, Minister Edison Baird who express strong opposition to the Dolphins today was not disqualified on the vote. The vote ended in a 1 to 1 with Baird voting against the Dolphins and Chief Minister Hughes for (Hon. Roberts was not allowed to vote as Minister of Home Affairs) The AG gave the Governor the tie breaking vote and the Governor voted to shut down the Dolphins thus putting over a dozen people out of work and causing further hardship Chief Minister Hughes is expected to give a press statement at 3:30pm on Klass fm 92.9 Stay tuned
