In a vote, Lucas County commissioners unanimously opposed a possible “right-to-work" for less ballot initiative. These leaders are standing strong with working & middle class families. Commissioner Pete Gerken, a former United Auto Workers Union officer, said allowing Ohio to become a “right-to-work” state would be an attack on employees & their salaries & benefits, and working class families. We know this county and city is built on the rights of working people, the backs of working people, & the wages of working people. We are not against collective bargaining. We are not against employers’ rights to make profits. We are for the right of workers to organize, have a collective voice, to be at the table." Tina Skeldon Wozniak said that workers in states with “right-to-work” laws take home about 10% less in their paychecks. With ‘right-to-work’ laws in place, people make less money. That hurts the economy.” ..Please share
