In a world where people say one thing and mean another; where politicians change their statements from day to day forgetting that programs are recorded, one thing continues to remain the same. The Word of God never changes. I have come to learn that the Word is the only thing that can be trusted. Let’s face it – the Bible is the greatest book ever written. The truth of the Word of God cannot be argued away. God’s Word is truth and is ever faithful. Man will always let us down. People are mostly here today and gone tomorrow. It’s amazing how many will say that they love you when you are up and things are great. As soon as problems come, all the folks that said they had your back start to drop like flies. The minute you become down and out, you are no longer fun to be around. You very quickly realize that people with problems are extremely unattractive! God on the hand understands how flaky and unstable we can be. Just like the scripture 1 Peter 1:24-25 says, we are like grass that withers; synonymous to flowers that fade. We are not built to last forever. We change our minds to suit the circumstances we find ourselves in. Yet He loves us anyway because His love is unchanging – He remains the same forever. We are lucky to have a God whose mercy and love for us never changes. It’s comforting to know we never fall too far beyond the reach of the grace of God. 1 Peter 1:24-25
