In about 2 weeks Bambi Âû Watson could be homeless. You can read that statement, and go on to the next thing, or you might even still be reading. But if you are, it is what you do, or dont do next that will be the thing that could potentially make the difference. Please dont think that bits of money dont help. They do in ways most who have never been in such desperate circumstances likely would ever understand. Last night I watched a video about how a number of boats came out of now where to help 500K people leave Manhattan on September 11, 2001. It seems those who helped didnt even blink. A call went out, and they showed up. What happened made me so emotional. I know the situation is no where near the same as Bambis, but many people like Bambi need help all the time. For them, it is a critical, crisis moment, and sadly no one is paying attention, or wants to look. If a call went out, and each person who was aware of that call gave $1 (much less than those who captained those boats that day), it would have ripple effects that could aide another human being in time of crisis. Imagine if that person calling for help was you, and no one was coming to help. It sucks to imagine it, doesnt it? Imagine how it is to live it. I dont say that everyone should help everyone who asks, but if something about her/her situation speaks to you/your heart, please listen. It may not seem like much, but to her it could be everything.
