In accepting Jason Parkins challenge of the ALS bucket of ice water, I will offer a modification as I pass it on. I will donate to ALS because after researching this foundation (especially with the two links below) I have learned a great deal and I was gratified to read about the enormous success of the bucket challenge and the credibility of the organization that is receiving the funds. Very impressive! My modification is to challenge any and all who see my bucket dousing to find an organization worthy of your funds and/or volunteer time and talents in the next 24 hours: cancer research and care centers, Parkinson’s, JDRF, MS, Hospice, depression and mental health education organizations like Erika’s Lighthouse, Hospice – to name a few. Don’t put it off! If not ALS, there is certainly something that has impacted your family or friends.
