In addition, 8,600 brown trout, averaging 10 in length, were stocked in the Manasquan River as part of the Sea Run Brown Trout Program. The success of the program depends on our ability to show that a successful fishery is developing. The program started in 1957. The last three years ZERO fish have been returned to NJF&G. I begged the division for at least a split of the allotment to go into the Raritan river, they just looked at me funny.
