In addition to the cuts to reimbursements, the National Institute of Health (NIH) will have more than $1.5 Billion cut from its budget. Much of the cuts will come from research and grant funding, which is distributed to universities and research hospitals. The Centers for Disease Control (CDC) will lose $800 Million, and will lose more than 2,000 disease trackers, whom play a role in tracing disease outbreaks to its origin.
