In all Israel there was not a man so highly praised for his handsome appearance as Absalom. From the top of his head to the sole of his foot there was no blemish in him. Whenever he cut the hair of his head—he used to cut his hair once a year because it became too heavy for him—he would weigh it, and its weight was two hundred shekels by the royal standard. Turns heads wherever he goes . . . Every girls dream . . . Has great looking hair . . . Could be a poster boy or model . . . B. Vengeful . . . Untrustworthy . . . Rebel . . . Hater . . . Deceitful . . . Murderer . . . MAYBE YOU ALREADY KNOW, BUT THE LISTS ABOVE DESCRIBE THE VERY SAME PERSON - - - ABSALOM! Theres a lot of people sharing similar characteristics today . . . and in many instances the BAD OUTWEIGHS THE GOOD! Of course, God always judges whats IN THE HEART OF A PERSON and not on the external appearances! So, what about you: . . . what do you judge? . . . whats most important to you? . . . what do you look for in others? . . . do you see what God sees? BE DISCERNING IN YOUR JUDGEMENT OF OTHERS! LOOKS CAN BE DECEIVING! PEOPLE CAN BE DECEIVING! SEEK TO SEE EVERYONE THROUGH THE EYES OF GOD! P. S. Please do not solely judge another person based on their FAMILY BACKGROUND - - - whether it is GOOD OR BAD!
