In all honesty, Edgar Lungu is not presidential material and I do not say that on the basis that he is a drunk or that he is purported to be sick. I say this because I strongly feel the man lucks a sober mind and his integrity is highly questionable. It would be suicide to entrust government treasury to a man with a status as Lungu, I however note that a man of his character is better of supervised which means I have had no problem with Hon. Lungu being part of cabinet in the first place because then he was limited on a number of key decision making. That said, regarding the issue on the PF presidency, am of the view that Hon. Lungu is the legally elected party president and any other elected president under law should not be recognised. It was a legally called for convention and the acting party president then set the dates for election and then secretary general appointed the returning officer and Hon. Edgar Lungu went unopposed as the other candidates absconded. So in the interest of Democracy, even though I feel Hon. Lungu is not the right man for plot 1, it is prudent that he be the presidential candidate for the PF as it is the will of the people and should be respected by all well meaning Zambians.
