In an effort to ensure our patients, staff, and visitors can enjoy a safe and health holiday season, Wilmington VAMC is requesting that anyone entering the medical center observe the following precautions. If you are currently experiencing flu-like symptoms, we are asking that you do not visit the medical center unless you are a Veteran requesting treatment. Flu-like symptoms include: Fever higher than 100.5 degrees (this is the key symptom), cough, aches, chills, sore throat, runny nose, or headaches. If you are entering the medical center or our CBOCs, we ask that you also observe our increased hand hygiene and respiratory precautions by using the hand sanitizer stations and masks available at every entrance. We are also requesting that visitation to our inpatients or residents of our Community Living Center be limited. Visitation by large groups has been curtailed at this time. Holiday church services will also not be open to the public. Thank you for your understanding.
