In an exclusive interview with UPSC topper, Anjay Tiwary from Uttar Pradesh said, "Facebook became the weapon to crack the IAS exam." Anjay has secured 750th rank in UPSC Exam 2012. He said, Initially I hate to use Facebook. Even, my friends forced me to have an account in it. After creating an account in Facebook, Started sharing ideas and knowledge about subjects. Me and my friends have created a group to discuss the examination. We shared current affairs of the ocean of knowledge to draw on their behalf. We used facebook to chat about subjects and sharing links and discuss the topics. Even we chat on facebook till late night but never off the topics. "I started preparation from 12th standard. I pursued B.A and M.A in Economics from Allahabad University. Which helped me a lot to score good marks in IAS exam," he said. I basically relied on standard textbooks in case of Economics and Medieval History. I had put maximum emphasis on General Studies preparation especially two markers. Focus on content, structure & use of creative sentences giving analogy formed the basis of my strategy.
