In an interview with Wolf Blitzer, Bouthaina Shaaban, a senior adviser to Syrian President Bashar al-Assad, railed against foreign meddling in Syrias civil war. In particular, she called the opposition terrorists and demanded that the world fight alongside the regime against the extremists. Today, al Qaedas leader Ayman al-Zawahiri released a tape message, calling on all Syrian rebels to stop fighting and unite against al-Assads regime.
