In answer to Haldens question regarding the Mike Walsey Firefly. Briefly Mikes Firefly WD828 crashed at Camden on 4th December 1987 Classic Aviation at Bankstown commenced a rebuild using parts from WB518 that was mounted on a pole at Griffith RSL. (Including WB518s forward fuselage) In 1994 the partially rebuilt aircraft was sold in the USA were now flies but carries the identity of WB518 (It is registered N518WB) The damaged fuselage and other parts were rebuilt to static standard and returned to the pole, and displayed as WD828. adf-serials/n1.htm adf-gallery.au/gallery/Firefly-WB518
