In both religious and metaphysical circles that with which Ive been involved, its been common practice for people to come up to me or others and say, I have a message for you..., or God/spirit has a message for you..., and then proceed to relay it. In therapy circles, the same principle can translate when people who may be skilled want to relay their read on a situation even when not asked. Its really been getting on my nerves lately that unless your skill or your gifts are invited to be shared by the person in question, then it really becomes a boundary issue/violation if you---no matter how skilled, gifted, or blessed you may be---to just invade with the message/advice/whatever it is you are sensing. I fully admit Ive been guilty of this too and its been something Im actively working on... I do want to discuss it for those of you who want to engage constructively...
