Hal has helped to recruit over 300 restaurants, bars, nightclubs and retailers to DTLA, including Bottega Louie, Ralphs Fresh Fare, Whole Foods and Target; facilitated the construction of 22,000 housing units, including some 4000 under construction right now; created tours and special events that have helped increase the DTLA population from about 18,800 in 1998 to over 54,000 today, with another 10,000 expected move to DTLA by 2016; and the man who made DTLA a dog friendly community when he was the leasing agent of DTLAs first adaptive re-use project loft project, the Old Bank District, with the help of his faithful Golden Retriever, Buddy.
