In case there is any confusion out there, the fact that my Son Mike works for Healthlink has no bearing whatsoever on anything related to the Mayor of this City. I have said many times that the responders and medics from Healthlink are true professionals and they do a good job. Mike and I routinely have discussions related to politics on an international, national, state and local level. We certainly do not always agree but we have a level of maturity where we realize it is not personal and respect that often we may disagree, this type of mature exchange is a good thing and I am glad we are at this level. I may not have stated my concern eloquently enough so I will try one more time. This Mayor provides lip service to public safety, he believes that all responders are overpaid, lazy and in reality can be replaced. He is currently using the responders and management of Healthlink to fulfill his vision of reduced public safety presence in the city. I posted that he will be more than willing to throw Healthlink under the bus if something happens and no one from Police or Fire are on scene to blame. He plays this game very well. He uses others to fix blame, that is why he is on his third Fire Chief. If you do not toe the line, out you go!
