In case you arent friends with Blake C Blanchard on Facebook, I wanted to share her post with all of you: This week, I received an email from Exeter, the standard fundraising ya de da, but in which it was casually mentioned that now 47% of students receive some sort of financial aid. This is such an amazing statistic, one that so few institutions could possibly maintain and a fantastic example of how committed Exeter is to gathering the best and the brightest. As a legacy, I always felt lucky that someone in the Admissions Office let me slide through the cracks and walk those hallowed hallways. But the people that taught me the most, so many of the friendships I have 14 years later, are with individuals far smarter and talented than myself who might not have been able to attend PEA without financial aid.
